J. Scott Sherman
President and CEO
J. Scott Sherman began his career in communication by putting up song
carts at South 107.1 FM in Rome, GA, as well as serving as a fill-in for
private DJs running “Trivia Nights” in hotel bars. It
was through these channels that he eventually went on air as the DJ for
overnights before moving into the board operation department for the overnight
radio show, which was being syndicated from another state.
Upon leaving South 107.1FM, Scott started his first company – an
online fantasy wrestling federation that provided individuals with the
ability to create and role play real and fantastical characters into weekly “TV” shows
and monthly “PPV’s”. This venture rode the wave
until a second company was formed in 1998 called Spectrazign, Inc. The
first of its kind, Spectrazign set itself up as an “external business
solutions” company. Spectrazign served as an outsource point
for small and medium sized businesses in the area of Technology, Marketing,
Consulting, Telecom, and Printing.
Later J. Scott Sherman bought out GamePad Magazine, an organization dedicated
to the gaming industry, and turned it into the “Spectrazign Network” – a
listing of businesses and the products and services they offered, as well
as special ways to get discounts with the vendors. Two years later,
another strategic merger helped the company move forward again. This
time partnering with a client, US Trust Mortgage, they launched a successful
mass marketing campaign, both business to business and consumer to consumer. Spectrazign
grew until its untimely demise 6 months after the date of 9/11/01.
J. Scott Sherman continued to work as a contract employee in the field
of communication, both running his business, Electric DJ, and as a strategic
consultant with SRS, Inc. It was on July 19th, 2006 he was elected
by unanimous vote to the office of President and CEO of Clutch Communication.
J. Scott Sherman has been a member of the Rome, Ga Chamber of Commerce,
Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Cobb County Chamber of Commerce and the Better
Business Bureau of Metro Atlanta. He graduated with his undergraduate
degree from Berry College with a concentration in Broadcasting and a minor
in business management. He is currently enrolled with the University
of Phoenix working on his MBA.
